Our first tournament was definitely one for the books. We started off early out on East Lake, and let me tell you, it wasn’t looking too great at first. The winds were intense, the rain was pouring down, and the waves were making it hard for anyone to keep steady on the water. But you know what? That’s what makes fishing so fun — you never know what the day is going to throw at you.
Despite the rough start, the weather turned around big time. After battling the morning storms, the skies cleared up, the sun came out, and we ended up having a perfect afternoon on the water. The fish were biting, and the competition was heating up!
Huge shoutout to Luke Miller and Bryer Williams for pulling off an impressive win today. Together, they hauled in a total weight of 16.59! That’s no easy feat, especially with how the conditions were early on. And Bryer didn’t just help with the win, he also caught the big bass of the day, weighing in at a solid 4.86. Talk about an awesome catch!
Overall, it was a great day out on East Lake with friends, good weather (eventually), and some solid competition. Everyone gave it their all, and it was cool to see the hard work pay off for so many teams.
